Did you work with him ?

I was faculty in Orthopaedic surgery at Hopkins when he first moved there. I did/do a lot of complex revision joint replacements that sometimes required a plastic surgeon to help repair damaged muscles and skin. He used to help me with those cases. When I left Hopkins, my PA actually transferred to his team for a while too.

Trigger finger gets more common as we age. You'll need to see a specialist, preferably a Hand surgeon. OT may come first for mild cases but often right to cortisone shots. Neither are frequently curative and results will vary. After 2 or 3 cortisone shots, if with decreasing lengths of effectiveness, then surgery. I just had the surgery and doing hand OT

I'm really trying to avoid surgery. I still haven't heard back from the doctor. I'm calling again today.

I just saw Jaimie Shores. Wow. He is beyond sharp. After discussing my issues, we got into side skills he had, like hand transplant surgery. Id go see him in a heart beat if you see him. I'm just trying physical therapy for now.
