    The real funny thing about the Op is sometimes he doesn't use any of those things, I know because I raised that madman. Give him hell he likes that sort of thing. View attachment 198373

    One of the G-sons is into archery and has been shooting either a Genesis or a long bow for a few years. The other week I pulled out a compound bow and we went through the process of tuning it to his draw length,proper weight and adjusted the sights.

    From 20 yrds. he was hitting tight groups but after about a dozen shots he tells me he'd rather shoot the long bow.

    You can find some nice re-curves at yard sales, when Bear archery came out with the early mass produced compounds it changed the face of the sport (hunting) forever. Now everybody can enjoy the sport without shooting 150 arrows a day for 6 months to be proficient. Its instant archer, but still fun and rewarding just with a whole lot more gimmickry.
