    Some have the takedown pocket pre-milled, so you only have to complete the rest of the fcg pocket. It's not that much of a difference, but the end of the takedown pocket is close to the buffer threaded section, so it is easier to not have to mill that out. It also allows you to take the 80 lower and mate it to your upper to see how they mate up without having to do any machining at all, an added bonus..

    I have searched around for what is "required" to make a 80% handgun into a 100%. Do I have to apply for a handgun permit from the state or currently own a handgun, or is it like a long gun 80%--> 100%?
