It was my first goose hunt and we didn't pull the trigger. Tons of flocks flew over us but never came close enough to shoot. Lots of shots going off in the area, so they were coming in just not at our field.
It goes like that sometimes. They call it hunting not getting.

I tried a few of the blind sites there a few years ago. They seemed like nice setups and were fairly easy to get a reservation, but we never ended up firing a shot. It seemed like some better scouting could help find some birds at other sites, but since then I've been going elsewhere.
