I experimented with a rifled 12G a few years ago that came with a low eye relief scope. During practice with good form and no buck fever it was fine. But from a stand shooting in the heat of the moment with a less than optimal form I got some significant forehead contact a few times. This led to me developing a freaking flinch the first weekend of modern firearm season, and a vicious cycle of thinking about it and denial. I upgraded to a 3-9x40mm Nikon Prostaff shotgun scope, but I dont have any stand time with it yet.
