1. Update on VCDL’s lawsuit against the City of Winchester
A judge has removed VCDL and GOA as organizations from the lawsuit VCDL and GOA have against Winchester over key parts of their local gun-control ordinance. The case is still very much alive as it moves forward with the four individuals who are also part of the lawsuit and are directly affected by the ordinance.

3. Have you been turned down on a CHP renewal in Fairfax over online training?
If you are someone who
1) took an online-only safety class before July 1, 2020 and
2) previously held a VA CHP which expired (but was not revoked) and
3) has been denied a renewal by Fairfax County on the basis of your inability to prove in-person competency with a handgun,
please contact me ASAP at: president@vcdl.org
4. Help needed for VCDL Fulfillment Center – small amount of woodwork needed
The VCDL Fulfillment Center (FC) is looking for someone who has the time and tools to do a small amount of woodwork AND lives in the vicinity of North Stafford.
The FC is in the process of building additional PVC (that's the pipe, not the VCDL president) banner stand assemblies.
These stands use wooden stabilizers that can be clamped to the table to give the stand some added support.
They will need to span a 30" table, have a 1-1/2" hole bored in each end (for the legs to pass through), and enough remaining material that it will not easily split or break during normal use and transport.
The legs are made with 1" schedule 40 (or 450 PSI rated) PVC pipe.
In the past we have used construction grade 1" x 4" lumber.
We just need someone that can bore the holes, without splitting the surface of the wood and round all of the edges of 8 to 10 pieces.
Or you can just enjoy the thought of the FC Coordinator trying to do things himself, launching 3' pieces of lumber across his garage with a belt sander!
5. VCDL membership meeting in Suffolk on December 2
VCDL will have a membership meeting in Suffolk on Thursday, December 2, from 7:30pm to 9pm at:
CE Tactical
2815 Godwin Blvd
Suite L2
Suffolk, VA 23434
Because the meeting room only holds 40 people, we would like you to RSVP, so we don’t over commit. Please send your RSVP to president@vcdl.org and let me know your name and how many people are in your party.
As with all VCDL membership meetings, it is open to the public, so bring friends and family!
After the meeting, those who want continued fellowship will be going to a nearby restaurant.
6. Man breaking into motel room in Virginia Beach shot
This is a situation that can be avoided: don’t break into other people’s motel rooms in Virginia.

8. Gun control dooms Dems in securing rural vote
I’m not sure when, or if, the Democrat Party is going to wake up to the fact that gun control is a losing issue. It’s also flat out wrong, with a history disarming minorities that is disgusting.
Perhaps the Democrat Party will lose interest in gun control when Michael Bloomberg stops handing them tons of money to support it.

9. Big Brother is coming for your guns
This is one reason why VCDL has always opposed gun dealers having to put the make/model/serial number on the Form 4473 when a person is purchasing a gun. If you have passed a background check, it shouldn’t matter to the government exactly which gun or guns you then buy.

Here's the maddening quote: "When accidents inevitably happen and triggers get pulled, healthcare workers at the Children's Hospital of Richmond and across the country see the devastating consequences."
It's not inevitable and certainly avoidable with education, but they'll have none of that - a new generation of Alec Baldwins.

Avoid making a mistake and going to prison. We would like everyone to know why our Gen 1 trigger was not approved.
12. Deaths by rifles vs other means
Contrary to what the lying gun-controllers tell us, rifles, including those scary black semi-automatic rifles, are rarely used in homicides - far less than hands and feet, knives, and blunt objects.
