We are cancelling the meeting in Sterling that was schedule for Wednesday, October 27.

Click here to send a message to your Congressional representative to vote against a federal Red Flag law that is being heard on Wednesday, October 27 (takes 10 seconds to do): https://oneclickpolitics.global.ssl.fastly.net/messages/edit?promo_id=14417

    4. Denver Accord: the gun-grabbers blueprint to disarm us

You will recognize some of the laws suggested in this document, as we have them now in Virginia.

Here are their four main principles of the accord, with my comments in red:

Guns do not make us safer. [PVC: Tell that to Michael Bloomberg, who has FIVE armed guards around him at all times. Guns absolutely make us safer, as they save far more lives each year than their misuse takes!]
Gun violence in America is a pervasive public health crisis that demands substantial policy solutions and well-funded programs that effectively reduce gun violence. [PVC: Actually, crime is the disease and guns are the vaccine. Also, an unreasonable fear of guns would qualify as a mental disorder.]
Equitable and just enforcement of gun laws is paramount. [PVC: Gun-control laws have always been enforced hardest on minorities. Gun control isn’t about lowering crime or controlling guns. It is about controlling people]
Everyone has the right to live free from violence. [PVC: That’s why more people should be carrying guns for self-defense – so they can live free from criminal violence]

The website is here and you can download a PDF of the accord’s main document on the site:

    5. Gun safety expert Alec Baldwin (<eye roll>) shoots and kills a woman

In an avoidable tragedy, Alec Baldwin broke the major rules of gun safety by pointing a gun at a young woman and another person and pulling the trigger.

Baldwin, like pretty much all the “gun safety” experts (a name that polls better for gun controllers) knows nothing about gun safety and it proved fatal.

Baldwin could be charged with manslaughter (a careless or negligent act that takes the life of another person). We’ll see.

    6. About 12% of Virginia’s adult population has a CHP

A member pointed out that Virginia’s adult population is about 6 million, making 720,000 CHP holders about 12% of that population. Looking at it another way, more than 1 out of every 10 people has a CHP!

    7. [AZ] Marine vet disarms robber in the blink of an eye

A bad guy learns the hard way that getting too close to a victim can end with the victim taking the bad guy’s gun away.

Don’t try this at home unless:

    1. You have trained to do this the right way and can do so quickly, forcefully, and unexpectedly

    2. You are strong enough to wrestle the gun out of a bad guy’s hands

    3. Or you are desperate to try to survive

If done right and the bad guy has his finger in the trigger guard, you can break his finger as you disarm him. Notice how the good guy first pushes the gun so it is pointing in a safe direction and then disarms the bad guy. The gun should be twisted forcefully towards a person’s thumb, as that is the weakest point in someone’s grip.
