    Dear sir or madam

Apparently you've never served our country

Among those who have, there exists a tremendous love of country...and a level of skill and knowledge and devotion to our great country and those tenets that we are founded on that are relatively unmatched in human history. These things are game changers.

These things are also why the progressives have demonized "veterans" and "citizens" and "patriots".

The nature and relative lethality of weapon a or b become less important in light of these key issues.

RMA...revolution in military affairs...the bow, gunpowder, rifling, machine guns, tanks, aircraft, radar, stealth, IW, etc have changed strategy and tactics (TTP). Partisan warfare...guerilla warfare is effective.

Never underestimate those who serve or those who have served. Never presume defeat. Never give up our rights.

You are only out of the fight when you presume defeat as inevitable. Beating yourself, in advance of the engagement, is a sure way to lose.

    QFT!

Went into a McDonald's the other day and walked up to the counter to place my order. The lady told me to enter my order into their brand new shiny kiosk.

I told her no and I told her why. Told her those machines take jobs. Told her next would be a burger flipping machine. And after that a French fry salting machine. Told the employees to rip the kiosk out by its roots and throw it in the parking lot.

After all that, she said the kiosk was tied into the cash register and that she couldn't place an order at the counter. Again I told her I refused to use the kiosk and if the store wanted my money then a human would have to take my order.

Wouldn't you know it. Another lady came up, pushed some buttons on the register, overrode the kiosk, and took my order.

All that work for two fillet-o-fish meals. Well worth it though.

You just sound like a guy, who went to McD, and told the employee, "NO!! you take my order, I am not doing all that, now if you want my money..." I owed a retail business for many years, and what that manager did was right, by getting her employees out of hostile situation. Did the people in the back make your fish meal with their"special" sauce, because, i probably would of not eaten it.

When was the last time you went to the bank teller and got money from them rather than an ATM machine. Or are bank tellers a little more up the scale in your eyes than the cashier at McD. Treat the people as you see fit, when they get your money, but trust me your $20 dollars will not make or break them. Lucky for you those people had some people skills, because you sure sounded like a great customer to deal with....

I might add, after spending 37 years in the computer tech field, that although it may seem that jobs are being taken away from the local (fill in your retailer of choice) higher paying support jobs are being created. The equipment in question is not flawless and will require maintenance and upgrades from time to time and qualified people to do it.
On a side note, i went into a local McDs not long ago and used the kiosk. I found it easy to use and time saving. It also appeared too me that there were just as many people working there as there was before the kiosk. Just my observations on the matter.

    No.

None of those are firearms. They are ordnance.

    We do not agree.

That behavior is the domain of the far left. Good luck having a healthy conversation with them about natural rights.

History proves irrefutably that our other natural rights are meaningless without 2A. Pray you don't see it proven true in your lifetime.

    Not really.

    ^^^^ This.

And let me add to the OP: Where are you going to move when WV isn't so red?

    https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/may/29/democrats-arizona-blue-republicans-trump

From the article: In 2016, Hillary Clinton lost Arizona to Trump by 3.5%, the closest margin of Democratic defeat since her husband, Bill Clinton, won here in 1996. And Maricopa County ousted Joe Arpaio, self-styled as “America’s toughest sheriff”, after 24 years.

OTOH, I do applaud your expressed intent to continue the fight. I just wish you could do so by voting against Frosh and the other Maryland gun grabbers.

I don't know what the OP is going to do but I'm old enough to where I'm pretty sure I won't be around to see any changes that puts WV anywhere close to the oppressive regime in MD. My barometer is the last legislative session where virtually every gun control bill passed in MD yet in WV, just the opposite was true. The few meaningful gun bills presented were pro-2A and they passed easily. So from my perspective, even if things change, they will go from very good to good, while in MD, unfortunately, they will likely go from already bad to even worse. I chose the former and don't regret moving to Almost Heaven one bit. But then, that's just me. :)

If you can keep the liberals from spreading past Charleston and Northern WV, they won't have a chance. I've been looking around Romney and Springfield for some property. Nothing I've seen has made me want to go to the bank. So I keep on looking. Not seriously at this point. The wife still has about 10 years to go before she retires.

But if I find that perfect house/property, I'll be at least at part time Mountaineer again.

I just wish Wyoming County was a little better off. I'd be down there in a heart beat. I was born in Mullens, I'd love to go back!

    Best o' Success, mad!

I too succeeded in escaping the General Assembly's dragging Maryland down into the Socialist cesspool BUT, I RELY AND DEPEND UPON MDS FOR A LARGE % OF MY DAILY NEWS "weather forecasts" and TO STAY CONNECTED TO A GROUP OF GUN OWNERS WHO DON'T TAKE THEIR 2A RIGHTS FOR GRANTED!

    Godspeed, man ...

Maybe you'll see me flitting around up there.

There is a resturant/ciggeret depot/ gas station right in Berkeley there's a bunch of Betty boop stuff on the walls. Anyrate foods pretty good and reasonably priced. We usually stop there on the way home for breakfast. Dont remember the name of the place.

God, it's been a while since I dropped into a gas station in town, other than the Sheetz at 522 and 13. I remember the once across from the DQ, it has/had a Subway in it, there used to be one across the street from the Moose lodge, but it turned into a car dealership. I'm drawing a blank on the one you are talking about.

The only downside to Morgan County is that Wal Mart is in Winchester or Hagerstown, the same holds true for Best Buy and the others. I'm going to miss Sams Club and Costco being as close as they are in Frederick, but that is the price you pay for peace and quiet, so it is worth it I guess.

I moved from NC to MD because teaching is BAD in NC. I think I would rather be poor and free in hindsight. Any WV towns within 30 of Cumberland with a Walmart, Aldi, and other shopping? Didn't think so...Moving wouldn't make sense because I'd be driving back into Maryland all the time, where I can't exercise my rights anyway... :envy:
