    My girlfriend's sister lives not too far from the Wrightsville bridge.We were thinking about fishing for a flathead.Neither one of us has ever caught one ,but want to try.

    Anybody have any tips for fishing the area?....we dont have a boat btw

    Not sure about that area but flatheads in general love to get under brush and log piles. I have caught them on cut bait but they seem to prefer live bait. We typically use live bluegills because we can get them.

    I have watched a few videos on Youtube.It seems most people use bluegills as bait for flatheads.If we go,I will definitely bring some.
