would like to have my rem 700 hunting rifle re-barreled, same magnum caliber, any local (preferably NOVA out to Winchester or thereabouts) gunsmith recommendations for this? don't need 1/2" but definitely want sub-moa. prob bedding/inletting also depending on barrel contour. thanks!

I'd suggest talking with Drew at WAR Rifles in Manassas Park, VA. Drew and his shop do great work. They built a .300 WinMag for me a few years ago that routinely shoots sub-MOA.

Ed Harren is in Ijamsville, MD (White's Ferry from your area) and Ed does excellent work as well.

I second Ed's wise words. I have had plenty of work done by Ed "Doc" Harren and have nothing but the best to say about him. Drew I know from shooting with him and he's a great guy who builds some top drawer shooters. I don't own any of his guns but that isn't a comment on his work, I just do a bunch of my own and, what I'm scared of, I take to Doc.
