Castle Doctrine

Does Maryland have a Castle Doctrine? I've been told we do not, have also been told that we do. Sure would like to know.

I will be corrected shortly; I thought that there is not a MD statute concerning a Castle Doctrine but MD applies case law. Problem is that different judges can interpret differently or require different parameters.

Sorry, should have read previous post.

If someone is in your castle, u best have a fear for your safety ( a reasonable fear to a reasonable third party) before u shoot. I shot him because he was in my underwear draw does not cut it...unless you stash a loaded gun there.

Didn't work too well for the guy in Glen Burnie from an overzelous prosucutor with aspirations of higher office. Can't remember the names. Ex-boyfriend of wife broke down the door and entered the residense. Prosucutor claimed homeowner didn't dial 911 first IIRC.

In Maryland, we are supposed to run, hide under our blanky, and hope the monster goes away.

Don't forget to urinate, projectile vomit and blow your rape whistle! Right before you bend over and kiss your own ass goodbye.

Justice Cardozo weeps again.

There is NO stature for Castle Doctrine, in Maryland, but it is generally accepted as common law.

Believe it or not, Maryland does have civil immunity as a statute.
