How about a faux suppressor carbine with a pistol handguard?

Looks great. Thanks for posting the pic. I'm thinking of doing the same thing
and have been trying to find a picture on the web to see how it'd actually look.

I'd say go carbine, I love the way it looks. I am considering getting one myself.

    The carbine is nice.

The trigger and mag release need work. Standard capacity magazines are available at out of state sources/shows. The 10 rnd magazines are good for bench shooting.

I went with the pistol and really enjoy it. Ive added the safety delete, extended charging handle, GHW mag release, trigger and spring kit, grip, and primary arms micro dot. Had the Sbt evo brace on it and really liked it but just sold it and purchased the gear head works tail hook with cz stock (minus the actual stock part). I don't think you'd go wrong wither way

CZ definitely hit a home run with these. The carbine is my favorite at the range.
CZ makes fun semiautomatic rifles. My Scorpion carbine is also a range favorite. So much so that I took a chance on a CZ 512 in 22 WMR. It's like a 10/22 on steroids. Scary accurate too.

Now you've done it, are the mags reasonable?

There are two 512 lines (in four stock configurations). The 22 LR line has 5, 10, and 25 round mags. The 22 WMR line, which I have, has only 5 and 10 round mags. I got 10 rd WMR mags for about $30/each. The rifle, depending on stock configuration and barrel length, runs $400-450 (for the non tactical models). They weigh 5 - 5.5 lbs, but require CZ compatible optical mounts ($30-50, depending where you shop).

The iron sights on mine with a 20-inch barrel are highly usable without a scope. There's a model with a 16-inch barrel with a ghost ring rear and fiber optic front (and dark stained wood furniture). There's a model (the American) with no iron sights and wood similar to mine but with a checkered grip that is scope only. And there's a tactical model that is pretty different in aesthetic.
