I think there's another day or so left on this deal from Massdrop.

    What I like about it:

the size is ideal for most common 'need a knife' purposes,
the grip, excellent shape, looks like it would not cause blisters under extended use,
its a fixed blade and that makes it a perfect hunting, or even possible 'self-defense' knife.
thicker blade for its size than you would expect, hard use knife.
The sheath, exactly minimalistic and practical; bonus flat whistle.

What I don't like about it: its expensive, but you are getting what you are paying for, premium knife maker, with a long history of innovation and delivering top quality knives.

Tanto blade looks best to me, but the hunter point is probably more practical for most.

I was a sales rep for TOPS several years ago. They make a decent, field friendly blade. Some might find their 1095 steel knives a little pricey, but they have some good designs. The CAT is one of their older models.

Just curious, I really like their knives (I have a (discontinued ? Border Crossing). I bought it at a local knife store when they got in a few. It seems difficult to impossible to find their stuff to actually handle. What's the story on that? Why so hard to find?

Not my cup a tea, but I do like these two from Tops. Baja 4.5 and the Brakimo. Just can't decide which I like better. Both is not an option. :sad20:
