Just put my paperwork in on A Beretta 70 from a MD gun shop. This GS ignores C&R rules so they require HQL and other than noting a Gus is Pre '1985 does not spend any time dating them.
Mine is has the following for Serial number
    A. 6000xx

It's the 32acp model with Puma on the grips

    Ok
    It's either XXIV '68 or XIV '58
I'm thinking XXIV with a bit of a light strike on the first X there

So based on research since there is a A preceding the Sn it is a 1968 date.
Interesting bit of history is that this was the 2nd Beretta made that year as the effort to export to the USA before the GCA of 68 was passed then later that year implemented.

I had an issue with long OAL 32 APC ammo and opened up the feed lips and tested it out today on Fiocchi, PPU and Geco ammo.

This thing shoots very well. No complaints. Sights have sharp angles and are reasonably easy to sight .

I think I'll keep an eye out for more old Berettas

    hurrah,
My Beretta 70 turns C&R this year.
This was $199 at the Gun ship as it did not have a mag. I got the Mag for $25 shipped.
I remember seeing it and walking out the door, then looking at my phone on GB finding the mag, hit buy it now, then walking back in and doing the paperwork.
I need to take more pics cause its one of the best condition 32 pocket pistols I have.

    Do you have a M1951?

Really nice pistol, not for +p, quirky safety and mag release, but a really nice pistol.

P38 magazines almost work, and I suspect could be modified to work.

Yes, I got one from Copes back a few years ago.
I had it back when my dad had a Beretta Storm. I felt the Storm was a step in the wrong direction. He sold it on consignment.
I acquired one of the Italian Beretta 92S surplus pistols too.
I need a 1934/1935 next (military WWII stamping & Date) Every time I"ve seen one, its been crappy looking.

So it saw some range time today. I had forgotten how good the trigger is on this one. What a joy to shoot.
