Individuals running San Francisco’s annual gun buyback got played Saturday by an individual who turned in a homemade shotgun for money.

The homemade shotgun was one of 187 guns turned in during the day. It consisted of a pipe zip-tied to a piece a wood. It had no hammer or trigger and lacked sights.

The guy should have made 10 and bought an arsenal.

It's easy to make a slam fire shotgun.

One tube slides inside the other.

Pull back hard on the tube that contains the shell and the tube that contains the firing pin sets off the primer. Simple.

And if you're close enough, no sights are needed.

Looks like it could be fully functional, just load the shell into the smaller tube and slam it back against an enclosed firing pin. Simple, cheap, effective design anyone can build for less than $30.

In 10 minutes that kid shows how all the gun control/banning will NEVER have any effect on criminals remaining armed.

I am a little disappointed that I didn't see the test firing!

There are homemade slidefire shotgun videos all over Youtube. They work pretty well, actually.

And I love the idea of selling them at gun buybacks.
