Here is my backyard range. 500 yard max from the bench. I have a pistol range further up in the woods too along with a "Woods Walk"
Developing rifle loads is quick and easy with this setup

I was thinking of a similar setup at my new place. Just curious shooting from inside like that does it cut down on the noise heard outside?

Wow, all you need is a fridge & an easy chair & you won't need to leave that room at all.

Wow guys, sweet setups. My dream for retirement is to pick up a few acres and set up a nice range - at least 200yds. Most likely not in Maryland though, unfortunately.

Group buy of a couple hundred acres in WV?

Just stumbling across this thread. Very nice gentleman. I am still hoping in 5-10 years I can buy 30-50 acres in/towards the mountains. WVA, VA, MD or PA. Something within a 2 hour drive if my place. Mostly a get away from it all place. Something I can hunt on occasion and ideally also be able to setup a range. Even if it is only a 50yd range where I can only shoot steel with pistol and Rimfire (and paper for rifles).

I am looking at something I can build a cabin on, not full size house. Though as I see a couple of people doing, having loading gear there were I can work up a load by loading a few, shooting them, writing notes, make adjustments, rinse and repeat would be amazing.

I’d love a good Hickok45 type setup and 200+ yards, but frankly a hillside or berm with a couple of plates, a couple of spinners and a paper target frame or two would be heaven.

This is just a glimpse of one of the new targets I pick up during the winter to add to my range in WMD...once I get back home I will post more pics...

    Simple but effective

Small, 22 yard range in my backyard...I can go to a neighbors house if I want to go out further.

I’m thinking of a 50ft range for .22 in my basement. I’ve got just over 60 ft clear, but it’s dirt floor and no heat. Not sure of Frederick county laws for personal indoor range though.

Nothing more needs to be said. The miserable part is hearing someone shooting on their property nearby and not knowing who it is. I would love to be friends with them.

Yeah, I wish I had land like this to be able to have a home range. I grew up on a 100 acre farm where this would've been completely doable, but sadly not anymore.
