he probably will. but one bad act perhaps should not ruin an entire career. A lot of depts let people retire even after committing a criminal act. not condoning it but it happens. if you have the ime in, you keep what you have earned in many cases.

They let that DC Fire Lt. retire who took no action to save that guy who died on RI Av across from 26 Engine.

Leave MUFFIN HEAD out of this.

Just kidding, she was a total disaster

I really believe that very few people actually read a thread before commenting on it. :sad20:

his post was somewhat cryptic in my opinion. I'll take it that you weren't referring to me.

    to whit:

If he were to get fired he would not get a pension however that point is moot in this case........that should add some hazy clarity to his "retirement" eligibility

The other guy was driving a Camry. That right there is enough to forgive the officer. Camry's make me angry all the time.

Especially when they have historic tags...

Many residents of DC drive nice cars, live in shitholes with no furniture but plenty of rats and such.

    Just remember the DC adage...

"you can live in yo car buy tou can't drive yo house."

Why do you hope he has enough time on the job to retire? He should be treated like the rest of us would be and do some jail time....

Perhaps my intended sarcasm did not come through.

At 46, most of us are thinking we've got to work another 20-odd years in order to retire. After this incident, he certainly won't be a cop anywhere. As a first offense, he probably avoids any jail time, but his career is toast.
