Not when you can pay 200.00 for an unmolested forearm only these days.

Heres images of what I was going on about earlier and how it's done.

Just have to look for deals. Picked up two No4's last week for $300. To some it's just an old $20 rifle from Yes, you can part them out for $$$. But that's soooo wrong.

Well I settled on a long branch. Should have it in a next week. Waiting for tracking number. I will post pics once I get her. I will also be on the lookout for the $300 ones as well. Would love to have a few Enfields instead of one.

As long as the numbers match and the condition is good that a great play. Get yourself one to enjoy now, be patient on additional items. Havent seen many at $300 lately but $400 an $500 are still obtainable for really nice guns. Id buy a few more at the right $$s.

Probably the nicest No4s I have in my collection are post war Longbranch. They were built without wartime pressures and if you're picky you can find one with a 6 groove barrel. They were built on the same production tooling as LB BREN guns circa 1950. Look for a "6" stamped on the bayonet lug. Normal production LB No4s had 5 groove barrels.
