Scoped my Ranch rifle. Eventually sold it. Never liked the mag system, and the grapefruit to small melon sized groups at 100 yards didn't do it for me. I did enjoy the overall aesthetics and operation of the rifle, but was triaging to buy something new.

I wanted to get one but having watched the A Team in the 80s I know how inaccurate they are. :)

I bought my stainless/plastic model at Heritage in Frederick for just over $700 about a year ago.

I really like it. It's accurate and works well and is something different from the usual parade of ARs.

There are a couple of quirks-

I've never seen brass travel so far!

Lubrication is critical and very different from an AR. You need to grease some parts. I got a lot of help here with that, especially from willtill. Brownell's has some really good videos on Youtube. I had a lot of problems until I properly greased it and then it ran flawlessly.

Spend the money for Ruger magazines. Aftermarket mags are iffy at best.

I want to take a stainless ranch-rifle and transplant it into a wooden stock. Not sure why, but that has never stopped me before ;-)

Whoa! $959 is WAY TOO HIGH....

Shop around, you can do much better than that, even if you have to buy it on Gunbroker and pay the shipping and transfer at a local FFL.
