    Time for me to plead my uninformed self ... is there any one place where I can fund a detailed summary of Maryland's current gun laws? I am moving into Maryland (Prince George's County), and need to know what I can bring and what I can't, and what my out-of-state friend can bring to shoot on my land. Specifically, I am curious about:

    - AR15 .223/5.56 rifle, with 10 or 20 round mags;
    - AR15 .223/5.56 pistol (e.g. Keltec PLR-16), with 10 or 20 round mags;
    - AR-style .22LR rifle (S&W M&P 15-22), with 10 or 20 round mags;
    - AR-style .22LR pistol (S&W M&P 15-22P), with 10 or 20 round mags; and
    - Glock pistols, with 10 more or less than 20 round mags.

    Any guidance would be appreciated!

    By law...

    Items 1, 2 & 5 would have to be registered through the State Police within 90 days of "Establishing Residency"

    3, 4... no action needed.

    He'd have to register any handgun within 90 days, so that includes the Glocks.

    He must have owned the AR 15 before Oct. 1, 2013.

    No problem with the rimfires: the ban only applies to centerfires.

    No problem with any size magazine brought into the state for personal use.

    I'm still unsure about out-of-state visitors bringing AR15s temporarily.

    Unfortunately, neither you nor your out of state friend can shoot any firearm on your land in Prince George's County unless you are hunting. There is an exception if you obtain a permit, but the permit is near impossible to get.

    I misread the OP... corrected my post.

    If here "temporarily", as I understand FSA13, there is no issue for those items (which is why the emphasis in my post). The whole "establish residency" situation is confusing, but I will not go into those details here.

    Someone has to make PG county better. We can't keep backing away into the small holes of gun friendly places. You can't convert anti-gunners to pro-gunners by running away.

    Excellent post and you beat me to it. We need pro 2A folks that are moving here to help fill in the gaps in those areas where we need help or those areas that are moving from Red to Purple to Blue.

    While it is not the best state to move to at the moment, the more folks to join the fight, the better.

    Thanks Mr H.

    Guys...its called HUMOR.

    We are allowed to have that here aren't we?

    PG County always ends up being the butt of jokes. I guess living in it makes me want change that much worse.

    Here's a joke to help the thread-mood:
