Just a quick question but wanted to confirm first. I have a brand new Remington SPS Tactical .308 rifle I might be selling shortly and wanted to confirm about the sale. I’ve heard rifles are still cash and carry but a rifle like this, I wanna be as safe as I can in transferring to another buyer. I know transferring at a dealer is the safest but if I know the buyer well, is cash and carry ok?

The Remington SPS Tactical is fine for private sale since it's not a regulated handgun or regulated scary looking rifle, but you are correct that the safest method is going through FFL. Both people should be residents of the same state.

There are no regulated rifles in MD. It is either banned or it is cash & carry.

    The SPS is not banned

True. By "regulated" I was thinking along the lines of rifles with 30 round mags that are allowed but you can't receive the mags. I agree that I could have said that in a more proper manner.
