Unloading brush at the Calvert dump (Sweetwater road facility) and heard the normal gunfire from the police range on premises. Than someone cuts loose with several volleys of full auto. I have heard that the security force at Calvert Cliffs have those weapons but did not know the local Sheriff's department was also so equipped. Just surprised, nothing more. Other than wishing I could join in.

I would be surprised if a modern Sheriffs Department, of the size we have around here, did not have full auto in their arsenal.

The sheriffs office has something similar to a m249 mounted on a boat at Calvert marina. They are responsible for security around ships coming and going to the gas dock.

I'm pretty sure Full Auto equivalent for the Colt LE6920 is the same price for LEO Agencies as the self-loading LE6920 is for us normal folk.

If I was Sheriff, I'd have one for me and all of my assigned deputies. I'd go for the 9mm version though. Just so I could show my frugality for our monthly mag dumps (er, I mean "training exercises").

Would that be the range at the landfill that the county commissioners decided us public peons can't use ??
