Well i did a search and could not come up with much of anything decent since zoostation's thread way back in 2007. Other than that the threads were sporadic and divided between countries. So here is your chance (and mine) to post up all of your SKS's, no matter what the origin(Chinese too, i know its the C&R forum), no matter what the stock is.. Lets see them!!

Ill start things off with three that i just got in the last few weeks

    1968 Alby

Chinese Marked DP( to go with my DB marked), Also it seems that the DP may have took a round through it, you guys be the judge.

Yugo SKS 59/66, that was thought to be lost in shipping but finally showed up.
Nice SKSs. If you ever want to sell that bench email me!! If you make another one...email me!!:D

    Woo Hoo! Porn! :D

Here's mine. My grandfather gave it to me. It's a Chinese Parade SKS that was presented to him after the Vietnam War. I don't think it has ever been fired.

    MADE in CHINA by CGA
    C3 then the serial number

Thats cool, I have never seen on with the C3 on it but i seen on on auction not long ago. It was interesting to me cause it doesnt seem to be a common thing, kinda like the DB and DP markings on the two i have.

    where would I find it?

What's cool is the scope mount and scope came from the same manufacturer, can't find that anymore.

Thats what i was asking for, because it has the C3 it most likely wont have a arsenal number in a triangle like a "standard chinese", the C3 is most likely code for something, maybe commercial production. still very cool and good looking rifle.

Also, what does the scope and mount say on it? I just picked up a norinco mount, but i cant see yours close enough to see if its one of them.

Here is the one i got, I got it cause the Chinese DP doesn't have the correct cover anyway, so i figured why not try it.

Back in the day when chinese sks's were flowing freely into the U.S. many of the import/export companies were actually owned by the PLA People's Liberation Army of China. CGA/GLNIC was one of them. it is believed CGA stands for "chinese government arms" and was a chinese exporter (like Norinco) exporting to themselves GLNIC "Guangdon Lingnan Import Company" the importer allowing them a much greater profit margin. eventually the U.S. gov put a stop to this practice.

KFS/Keng/poly and CJA/"China Jin An" were big players back then and were also shut down by ATF. both these importers were also caught with FA/NFA weapons mixed in with legal shipments.

I've seen those, used to have a yugo with an external scope. I didn't like it because it seems bulky since I was spoiled by this mount.

Yep, that's the Importer. I think I paid ~$70 back in the day new. Then the thumb-hole stocks came about for the imports.
