Did I get the first one posted again? Try to get out for some air on nice days since we are stuck home teleworking and schooling. Had an opportunistic sighting very close to the homestead so ran in, cracked the safe and grabbed the 22 mag. A little stalk and wait....sleepy groundhog now .

I have three so far. Male and female out of the same hole in my front yard, different days. Other one fell in the hole, so couldn't ID. I'm using an older Savage .17hmr, pre-accutrigger that I fitted with a rifle basix trigger adjusted down to very soft. I use to get 25-30 per year but now it's in the lower teens. The 17 grain work well in the body but didn't work so good with head shots on raiding racoons.

I have at least one on my property. He heard me open the window screen and bolted into his hole. What do they eat? Thinking of feeding him... lol

We dispatch groundhogs from a local horse field during our lunch break. One was 123 yards away and the other 198 yards. The field is littered with holes and we've managed to secure 2 additional locations for the season. The Grendel almost makes it too easy though.

First one this year. 155 yards with a 6.5 Creedmoor. A little overkill, but it did the job. Hopefully this farmer will give me rights to hunt deer, this fall.
