Sooooo... Anybody got a spare takedown pin detent laying around???? :innocent0

Also, did anyone that got the Palmetto LBK get one without a trigger guard detent already installed ( or even in the kit)? There was a little set screw in the kit but the front hole of the trigger guard is not threaded to take the set screw...

I think the trigger guard is actually threaded, not the lower. I may have an extra pin, I'll check.

I figured the guard out- I just didn't want to force it, but that's good now....

And hopefully I-Robot will find the detent in the morning....

I was using a large clear plastic bag to do it in--- the bag caught the detent and spring 7 out of 8 times....... :whack:

I-Robot is doing it's thing right now... Keeping my fingers crossed.....

Man you need a "Clean Room"!....I finally made a tool that holds that spring/detent in so I can install the pin!!

Although they are the same, I am assuming you mean the pivot pin spring and detent. The takedown pin detent should not be launched anywhere by the spring.

Assuming you have a vise block to hold the lower, it is very easy to install the pivot pin and detent with nothing more than a pair of vise grips.

You're right-- it was the pivot pin installation that shot the detent at hypersonic speeds across the family room... I "borrowed" the takedown pin so I could forge ahead with the build, hoping the I-robot would find it. It hasn't yet... So my build is complete except for the takedown pin installation now..... :banghead:

I had made one out of a wooden dowel that I drilled a hole in... It happened when I was pushing it out with the pivot pin....

That little vacuum has now saved me three times!!!
