1965 Sauer "Royal Grade" in 16-ga

The Old Man gave me this one several years ago after he tired of it (he tired of it when I told him the trigger guard was plastic, not horn like he thought). Great gun, except for the fact that the plastic trigger guard is broken.... I've often wondered WTF a relatively high quality shotgun like this would have a plastic trigger guard - wacky Germans. If anyone knows where I can get a replacement, I be much obliged :)

You take GREAT PICS!!! What's your secret!

Well, thanks for thinking my pics are great :o

A good camera helps. I'm currently shooting a Canon 40D. For lenses, I switch between a 28-135 3.5-5.6 IS and a little 50mm f1.8 prime. I usually take the pics outside. I prefer to shoot them in either open shade or when it's cloudy. I've found that manually setting the white balance helps, too. I also try to focus on details that make the gun unique or show quality of workmanship, like the stippling on the action in front of the lever on that Sauer. And no toes - I avoid having toes in the pic LOL

But - for every decent pic I post, there are many that are utter crap and don't make the cut :innocent0

12 gauge is on my "want list". :party29:

I have one that lives in the "not so special" safe. Action is slicker than snot and it points like your finger. I should prolly shoot her more...

If you can find an older 37 Featherweight with the solid rib you'll definitely be a happy camper.

Love the light. Don't know if I could afford something like that right now. Gotta first get the light, and then find the right person to install....
