9 Million AR's made under President Obama's Term

That does not count all that were made before Obama's time in Office or since he left Office.

Previous estimates say that an estimated 20-30 Million AR's were in civilian hands.

Add the Obama #'s to the previous estimates and there are easily 30-40 million AR's in civilian hands.

Can't say they are not in "common use".

Possession does not necessarily mean use. Many of us have multiple AR’s and may only fire the things to insure functionality. Depends on the libs definition of “use”.

That is literally Dianne Feinstein's rhetoric from the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings. It is: (a) bogus; and (b) ground we can never concede.

Even if people just have them, they are common enough.

Probably the most common and popular platform in the US. I predict it will only get more popular as time goes on.

I push AR's like it's a religion.

I love AR's but they will never replace my real faith.

I think those numbers constitute "in common use". It doesn't matter how owns how many but the fact they are in common use. I don't use my SUV every day but SUVs are in common use. The same goes for my utility trailer...but they are in common use by millions of people.

I have an HD weapon in a nightstand. Have used it at the range a couple of times, works fine. Now it slumbers and will almost certainly never be fired in anger. But I'm USING IT 365 days a year, in its intended role: it's there just in case. That's its use. And I feel exactly the same way about my couple-a ARs. There if I need them. I am USING THEM to contribute to my readiness and peace of mind. That is all, and that is all that's needed on the topic, Diane.
