    The Burnie
Fair enough..., I'll concede it did get my attention. And, if frenzy was what they were shooting for they may have nailed it.

Just curious, why the Mk IV? I know it's easier to break down to clean, but I've got a bunch of the old stuff and once you get them apart a few times, they're not difficult to take apart and put back together. I'm not sure I like the push button on the Mk IV. Seems to be in an easy place to inadvertently hit. I've not seen one in person, but the location seems like it could be troublesome.

    YMMV

I did have similar thoughts about the button, but I think it has a lot of other advantages:

    No more LCI.
No need for a slingshot mod, that's factory now.
The safety lever is a lever instead of the button.
Slide release is a lever instead of the button.
MK IV apparently has a better trigger.
Mags eject positively from the MK IV.

I don't actually have a ton of the old stuff - just the pistol and one magazine, so there's not a ton of advantage there for me.

You make a good point. I'd have to hold one in my hands before I pass judgment. Don't know until you try one.

I was of the belief that after obtaining 17 Glock pistols I didn't really need anymore. I figured if I was ever going to get to 18 Glocks it would be with a Glock 18. Well I was wrong, you guys roped me in with a Gen 1 Glock 17 in superb condition. Can't wait to bring it home next week.
