    Hello, my wife and I are interested in shooting at ranges. I have some firearms I inherited from my father, who was in the South Pacific in '45. Joined this community to get more info on places to shoot and how to sell old rifles/shotguns :-)

    Welcome from Eldersburg. The Hap Baker range is close to Westminster. The Associated Gun Clubs of Baltimore isn't that far away either.

    Greetings fellow Carroll Countian. There's 3 Public ranges that I've used, I'm familiar with enough to recommend, & are near you:
    1. Hap Baker at the Carroll County Landfill is in South Westminster (5 min)
    2. Indoor range at Continental Arms in Timonium (25-30 min).
    3. Associated Gun Clubs in Marriottsville (20-25 min).

    Also there are 2 good clubs in nearby Northern Carroll County - Dug Hill & Mayberry. Both private but I think they still accept new members in certain circumstances. I've shot at each in the past, would love to be member but from what I remember the process involves many work/volunteer hours (especially as a probationary & junior member) which I just don't have time for anymore.

    Mayberry is awesome and the hours are very low and totally worth it IMO.
