Build - How much would this set me back for

Would like to build something like this - I do not need the scope and Bipod.

just the gun build as I want to have some fun at the range time along with some hunting. How much would this set me back for in Remington 700 ?

My guess is $3K with that fluted barrel, EGW scope mount, matched rings, $1K scope. ?

I already have a scope for it so I can discard that. I was also quoted that from another forum which will be around 2.8K.

I was hoping to build something like that for 1.5K. Another alternative is the Ruger Precision Rifle but that is not for me.

You can get a blue printed action for $600. McGowen Precision Remage Stainless Barrel fluted with Cerokote your choice $550. So say 1,050 before Break, MAC Gun works break $85 Cerakoted., So $1,000 plus before Stock. I have 3 three Magpul 700 hunter stocks bed the recoil lug and they shoot like champs. $200 , Magpul button $70 with a magazine. You can get ACS OR Whatever Magpul feeds flawlessly. So $1,400 you have an awesome custom rifle. I have three basically like above except no fluting. 270 win 26” 1-8 twist so I can shoot the Berger 170 EOL. A custom 284 win, 28” 1-8 twist and a 338 win mag 26” 1-10 twist. My average build price before scope is 1,200. I don’t flute and they are great rifles.

I think that I forgot to mention that I have a Remington 700 ADL.

I could use that as a starting point to make it like that if that makes a difference.

If starting with an action(saves you a little bit, but not much);

Action balance/blue printed $200
Barrell blank $400( you can buy a barrel already reamed also)
Have the barrel chambered in the round you want $200
Stock - $200-800 depending on what you want.
Bottom metal/mags - $300ish if you go badger(they are great) and AICS mags
Bolt handle $50 + $50 to install
Trigger $200 (go Jewel)
20 MOA scope mount - $100

Muzzle device, your choosing ~100
Stock pack ~80..depending on your stock you might not need

Figure around $1,700 not including muzzle device/stock pack.

This rifle has most of that without the detachable magazine and brake https://www.remington.com/rifles/bolt-action/model-700/model-700-sendero-sf-ii If you're not into competing with it, you can find used versions for under $1k. Mine shoots very well with Remington Core-Lokts, I'm sure it's better with match ammunition.

Ed local guy to me. He just cut my dads also. To be fair, it was re crown, skim coat action to see if needed trued, re thread barrel threads as they were damaged and cut chamber.
