As our email subscribers learned, MSI was disinvited from participating in the Hampdenfest neighborhood festival. We expressed our disappointment in our email and asked the organizers to rethink their decision. We were completely civil in that email and have been completely civil in our correspondence with these sponsors and organizers. Since then, the organizers and the book store who are sponsors have complained to us of receiving less-than-civil postings and emails about that decision. MSI believes that such conduct is highly counterproductive; MSI does not condone any such actions. If anyone is doing that it should stop immediately. If anyone wants to express an opinion to the organizers please keep it civil and polite in tone and content. In no case should anyone attempt to “dox” any individual or organization, a tactic which we find abhorrent. Mark Pennak, President, MSI

It was a fleeting thought to send angry emails, but it would only give them freedom so say, "Well, looks like we dodged a bullet by not inviting those rednecks". (almost changed "dodged a bullet", but thought it was funny and left it). I can understand how it would be easy to be nasty to the sheep, but they are just sheep and need to be lead to the truth. Instead, be kind the poor creatures.

Baltimore is a cesspool. Honestly, it is better that you guys didn't end up going. The place will not change until it completely collapses so it would be a waste of your time. Better to use the spare time to take up a side gig to make some money which can be donated to eventual court cases.

I get that view entirely. But, alas, we also need to go where the opposition is as well, as those are persons who need the education the most. Believe it or not, we have talked sense to a lot of folks and that has had an impact. A bite at a time.

That right there is probably why they don't want MSI there. Can't have facts that go against their narrative being presented by reasonable people, donchaknow?

Did it really happen or is it them making it up, knowing full well that's how the left rolls?

The insults and threats were coming from the ones that swarmed the MDS FB page.

The Patriot Picket has had the same conversations as MSI and more than a few of us have done both MSI and PP events.

Is it possible for MSI to sponsor a charitable, social consciousnesses event?

By refusing MSI the group would also be refusing the benevolent outreach.

Maybe something that has puppies, kittens, babies or feeding homeless.

Well, an interesting idea. Such an event sorta outside our mission statement. Everyone likes puppies, but the civil rights of puppies is not something we expend resources (scarce) to promote.:)

Certainly reeks of it, but neither Maryland courts or the US District Court for Maryland will give two shits.

So long as the right continues to do nothing but roll over every time its rights are trampled, then this ******** double standard will only continue.

The right needs their own protests and rallies, and conservative voters need to be absolutely unafraid of putting politicians who fail to adequately advocate for their constituents in the crosshairs of the primary challenge process. It's telling that nationwide there hasn't been a single far-right AOC type character usurping some stale, ineffective incumbent.

Anything less, and the American Right truly is nothing more than "the left, but driving the speed limit" and might as well be the political equivalent of the Washington Generals.

Make it a first amendment rights issue event. Bring the puppies, kittens and homeless for special interest.
