I have 1911 mags that stayed fully loaded for over 15 YEARS without issue. And they work fine. They are quality mags, Wilson or McCormack.

Busted myth.

I leave mine loaded. These are in safes ready for quick access. I do not want to have to load the mags if I need them quickly. No issues in 15 years.
