I'm thinking about getting into 1911s this year, and I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the Dan Wesson RZ45 Heritage. Seems like a nice classy piece at a decent price, but if anyone has any first hand experience with it, I'd appreciate any advice.

Dan Wesson's are tough to find in MD. I bought mine back in 2002. It's a solid, well made gun full of Chip McCormick and other well made parts. The newer ones are even nicer, but they are pricy. A new Valor is close to 2 grand. The Heritage is a fine 1911 and much more gun for the $$ IMHO than a Springer or Kimber.
