Hey guys I am stuck between two pistols the Glock 19 or 23. I currently
own a G17 gen 4 and just purchased a G26 gen 4. So my question is do I
complete my family of 9mm's with the G19 or go to a different caliber with the G23 and have the option to go to 9mm with a conversion? Thanks I just need a little push in one direction.

I have a 19 Gen4 and it is my favorite handgun.

I have a 21SF Gen3 in .45 ACP waiting at a FFL just itching to get my hands on it.

I would say the 19 since you have ammo and mags that you can use in it. But on the other hand I love my gen 3 23 you can shoot 40, 357 sig or 9 mm out of it with the proper barrels. You can't go wronge with ether.

Yeah today my friend scored some .40 at Walmart
While I stood there looking at an empty shelf of 9mm. That got
me thinking about the G23 and having the option to use another caliper.

Now may be the right time to figure out if you shoot .40 well before you decide. Rent first. It will be cheaper by far to stick with 9mm with the mags you already have. Ammo will come back, but .40 will always cost more.

I would opt for something different, you already have two Glocks!

I'm not a big Glock fan so I've limited myself to 1.5 Glocks. (9mm conversion barrel)

Admittedly, I've had the SIG'ness in the past and had to stop myself from buying another one.

    I own both the G19 Gen3 and G23 Gen3. (Along with G26 Gen4.)

There is some advantages to buying the G23.
You can have 3 calibers with one pistol.
    .40 S&W
    .357 Sig
    9mm Para.

The downside to that is the need to buy ammo for each caliber.
The upside is, .40 (right now) is slightly more available than 9mm (at least around here!)

For conversion to another caliber, you'll need barrels.
The .357 Sig is pure drop-in. Same magazines.

For 9mm, you'll need a conversion barrel. Storm Lake and KKM have very good barrels. The Lone Wolfe barrels (in the past) have had some QC issues, plus a lot of people don't like 'that logo' where it's placed.
The G17 magazines will work, but, for the 'correct fit', you'll have to buy G19 magazines.
(Don't forget the 'ban' that goes into effect on 10/1.) Buy now!!!!!!!

    Accuracy -
My G19 is boringly accurate. At 15 yards it shoots like the boolits are riding a laserbeam to the target.
    G23 is very accurate.
.357 Sig. I have no opinion. I've never shot one.

    My personal non-professional opinion- - - get the G23.
    Variety is good.

If you are sticking with Glock then a G23 or G32, depending on availability, will as everyone here is familiar gives you numerous caliber options by simply switching out barrels, and if opting for a 9mm downsize also switching out the recoil spring assembly. FYI: both the magazines for the G23 and G32 are interchangeable. Flexibility is wise thinking on your part, because you never know when certain calibers of ammo may prove very difficult to obtain at any price.
