WTB Winchester 9422

I miss the Ithaca Lever .22 I grew up with. As a kid I always wanted a Winchester 9422. Not neccessarily looking for a safe queen, just a well loved and cared for rifle.

Thanks for looking!

I've got a 9417. Orignal box and hangtags. It is crazy what I've seen them sell for.

Such a sweet action.

Good luck with your search!

I have an Ithaca 49 lever in 22. Cool little rifles. Hope you find what you are looking for. FYI the Ithaca lever 22’s pop up now and then on Gunbroker.

When I was 12 I saved up for a year to buy a lever .22. I really wanted the Winchester but it was $250 IIRC, and the Ithaca was $150. I had maneaged to save $125 by mowing lawns and raking leaves. Dad saw how hard I worked to save the money, so he kicked in the other $25 and went to Kmart and bought me the Ithaca.

I shot the hell out of that thing hunting rabbits and prarie dogs on the Texas plains. Loved that rifle!

Look forward to you posting pics after you get one. Found mine (in 22 Mag) on GunBroker.

Note, even if you find one that looks a bit rough for wear, check Numrich to see if they have parts. They have a surprising amount for the 9422 (coded 94-22 on their site), including beautiful stocks and forearms ...

A good friend of mine and I were at the range a few years ago, plinking.
I had my Remington 541-T, and he had his Winchester 9422 Trapper.

His little 9422 was a hoot to shoot! Hitting empty shotshells at 50 and 100 yards!!!!!!!

I stumbled upon a like-new 9422-XTR at Cabela's, in Newark, DE, and just HAD to buy it.

It is a thing of beauty. Not a mark on it. Looks like it's never been fired.

I could never sell it.

They are out there but you are going to pay quite a bit for one. Unless of course you find someone that has no idea what they have. I bought my 9422M new. Beautiful rifle, bluing and cut checkered walnut are second to none. No it is not for sale. Good luck!

I know you are looking for a Winchester but you may have a easier time finding a Marlin 39. Great little lever as well.
