I tried to join but the membership fee is $40 and they found I can eat *way* more than $40 in food at their events.

Check out Arlington's Events Calendar at Arlingtonrpc.org.

Check out Arlington's Events Calendar at our club website: Arlingtonrpc.org.

Our Tuesday Night Steel Shoots runs from April through September from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Our Low light, No light Night Steel Shoots will be on Tuesday evenings from October - March.

Our 3-gun shoots are every 4th Saturday throughout the year.

We will start a Saturday Evening Trap League this summer.

Throughout the year, we have steel plate pistol shoots and rifle shoots at 100 - 200 yards.

I'm with Baltimore Rifle but may have to think about joining Arlington as well.

Exclamation AGC needs help with Hescos - March 23-24

Just received from the AGC Action Shooting distro:

Quote:
HELP is needed Saturday March 23rd and Sunday March 24th for install of HESCO berms !

Requesting "able body" AGC ACTION SHOOTERS and volunteers from all AGC clubs that can climb in and out of the HESCOs move dirt to corners and tamp.

It will be a full day of work both days 8:00am start. We know it is a lot to ask of volunteers but the rain and winter has been relentless. There are some sunny dry days forecast for this week and next weekend.

We will be installing Hescos on Bay 4 and adding 3' Hesco tops on 4,5 and 6. Goal is to get two bays 4 and 5 completely done and seeded for the Spring Action Shooting Events. If you and/or your club plan on using the Action Shooting Fields please help out.

Lunch and water provided each day. Earn RANGE BADGE CREDITS for your upcoming 2020 range badge.

Plan on wearing boots and work gloves. Some gloves are available. You will be playing in dirt and mud so dress appropriately. This is very physically demanding work.

Weather cancellations will be emailed on Thursday if necessary.
I'm going to try to make it out one of the days.

Oh well, can't do much with soggy ground. Fingers crossed it'll be rescheduled for a day I don't work!

This does not bode well for the season. I'll try to stay optimistic, but we have had a lot of rain over the last year and a half.

I'm a little concerned as well.

Not that I doubt the AGC and Action Shooting folks who called off the work for this weekend (it's rained a lot this week), but I'm curious to see the site myself. Haven't been by that side of the property since before Christmas.

Its definitely wet and mucky, no doubt about that. Nothing has really had any chance to dry out in a long time.

Is there a contact number available for Action shooting? I emailed to get times/dates of holster certification classes, but I have not heard anything. Thanks for any help.

From Arlington:

https://arlingtonrpc.org/2019/04/24/...arrier-update/

Quote:
The 3 Gun scheduled for 27 April and TNS for 30 April are cancelled. As a note, the berm barrier installation effort will be ramping up again in a week or so. The plan is to use TNS nights and AGC Action Thursdays to get barriers stood up and partially filled with some weekends to complete all the earth moving and filling. More to follow so keep an eye out for more emails.
I have not seen anything (yet) from AGC Action shooting, but I figure there will be more calls for volunteers for these days...
