....compared to New Jersey. I slept with the lights on last night. This 500+ page book is more horrifying than a Stephen King novel. Firearms ownership in NJ is best compared to entering a minefield. And the Nazi-esque uniforms speak volumes about the NJSP approach to enforcement.

Lived there for 17 years after I retired from the Army (that's where the work was). Moved to MD in 2011 under BRAC. I honestly did feel that MD was a gun owner's paradise!
Even with FSA 2013 it is easier to obtain ANY firearm in this state than it is in NJ. No Firearm Owner ID (FOID), and no, the HQL is not the same thing! FOID required for ammo purchases in NJ.
77R and one week wait for handgun purchase...in NJ submit to local Chief of Police along with fee, letters of recommendation, fingerprints, etc then wait to see if he/she feels you should own a handgun. Process can take weeks to months.
Normal capacity magazines are now ILLEGAL in NJ. In MD, cross the border, buy your mags and go home.
Finally, almost ALL police dress uniforms have the same look. Best friends son is a NJ State Trooper and he, and all of his associates, are fine men and hate the NJ gun laws as much as the citizenry.

Most of the State Highway Patrols looked like that back in the '50s and '60s. Several were my neighbors and used to take the local kids out in the woods and teach them how to shoot. What a shame our country has degenerated to what it is today. :sad20:

Some do not like comparing Maryland to New Jersey. I think it is a good thing to look at, as I don't see any current laws stopping Maryland from becoming like them.

Looks like the Gestapo are alive and well. WTF is going on in New Jersey?!?!? No wonder they are keeping their bump stocks and magazines.

What do you expect from a state that doesn't even trust people to pump their own gas
how much money was paid by someone and accepted by another to force the people to have to pay extra to have their gas pumped for them.
The fact that people allow this type of stuff to happen in so many different facets show that it is not the people in control of the government, but in fact the government in control of the people.

Can we write more letter and call more politicians to have some changes made?

I haven't read very many good opinions on this Nappen guy either.

Dude seems to make a lot of money selling fear mongering from his book to "seminars" he hosts where mostly middle aged people who want to be consumed with paranoia pay to hear about their worst fears of being a gun owner, or something.

Yep. Every bit Gestapo and more. The uniform is for intimidation.

Just about every time I've been in NJ gas has been cheaper than in MD. Even with the lackeys who get paid to pump it.

It used to be, until the last jackass Governor raised the taxes on it.

    Now, it's cheaper in Maryland.
