Notice how .gov will post a picture of their target; in this case one of the four (probably five, when they locate him) Anne Arundel County residents.

MoCo is after them, meanwhile AACo is after our guns.

The Anne Arundel County Gun Violence Prevention Task Farce has likewise published a picture of their target:

The mission statement of the AACo TF posted above says it is “researching and compiling data on crimes and suicide involving guns.”

If it was interested in protecting law-abiding citizens, it should say: “researching and compiling data on criminals and the mentally ill using guns.”

Seems like a (un)balanced panel to me.

I figured CDS was drug-related, but I couldn't fill in the acronym. Consulting the interwebs revealed: Controlled Dangerous Substance.

What is gun violence? When I guy kills someone while driving drunk, is it alcohol violence or car violence?

I hope the Task Force recommends passing a law making violence illegal. Maybe have a "progressive" structure with differing penalties proportionate to the degree of violence inflicted or attempted.

Death by any means is violent to me, Other than natural causes.

How many Americans are really addicted to opioids?

The survey found that 11.5 million people, or nearly 5 percent of the population, misused prescription opioids they'd obtained through illicit means. About 1.9 million Americans (0.8 percent) reported full-fledged opioid addiction.

Domestic Violence Statistics
Every 9 seconds in the US a woman is assaulted or beaten.
Around the world, at least one in every three women has been beaten, coerced into sex or otherwise abused during her lifetime. Most often, the abuser is a member of her own family.
Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women—more than car accidents, muggings, and rapes combined.
Studies suggest that up to 10 million children witness some form of domestic violence annually.
Nearly 1 in 5 teenage girls who have been in a relationship said a boyfriend threatened violence or self-harm if presented with a breakup.

AACO Gun "Task Force" Meeting Location Update!!!

The location given for the meeting in the prior post is WRONG! It is at Anne Arundel Community College but it is in the CADE building, Room 219, NOT the Pascal Center. Cade is on the west side of campus. It is best accessed from Route 2 by entering the college at the light where the YMCA is. CADE is at the top of the hill on the right.

Thank you for your vigilance, but all of the meeting location information for the AACo Task Farce meeting tomorrow night (Thursday, June 20th) in this thread is CORRECT.

(The “prior post” you are probably referring to was posted in another thread back on May 16, 2019, and the TF meeting location was subsequently changed. The post you are presumably referring to was a screenshot of an informational handout provided by AACo at the adjournment of the last AACo Task Farce meeting.)

The official AACo website for the TF states the correct meeting location, which was posted correctly in the OP of this thread.

Good that you mentioned this discrepancy, in case anyone else might be confused by the AACo change of meeting location for tomorrow night’s meeting.

The correct meeting location is re-posted in the next post.
