I have a very large Cold Steel Espada that is uncomfortable to keep clipped in my normal jeans front pocket. Since it is so large; it is very uncomfortable to keep in my pocket when sitting.

I had the local tailor make me a special pocket for it, on several of my blue jeans. Tell me what you think....

Maybe it's time to go on a diet?

J/K, that's a pretty trick little pocket. How is it when you sit down, does the knife have a tendency to rise out of the pocket?

Ha, yes... a diet would be in order. :D

It "used to" rise out of the front pocket; before I had this new pocket made. The knife stays in place when sitting; it is quite comfortable to wear now.

The concealed part isn't the problem. The problem is you have an inch or so sticking out. I think most brain dead people don't care. You would definitely draw the attention of anyone looking for a weapon.

It's a folder, not a fixed blade. It's legal to carry in this configuration.

I use it to open boxes, cut rope and any other application where a pocket knife comes in handy.

Wow, and I thought a Kershaw Tremor was big... BTW is that Espada assisted opening?

Yep, there is a catch bolted/screwed to the rear back of the blade; that will catch on the jeans pocket edge. I prefer not to use that though; on a knife as large as this.

Maybe get a pocket sewn inside your pants like a crossdraw..
All the girls will want to touch it when you go bar hopping.

So you carry a knife that big to open boxes and cut rope? LOL

Seems pretty excessive, and a little impractical. But hey, if it works, good for you.

That give new meaning to the term "pocket knife". I like it.

Thanks. I like my Espada... was a gift from my wife. Have had it sitting on my desk for years... decided to do something so I could actually carry it.

Of course it's a little unpractical; but it's a nice startling conversation starter when someone asks "anyone got a knife"? :D

I do also carry a Spyderco Endura as well. That is more used often...
