I went to Shyda's today and also stopped in at Kinsey's Outdoors in Mt. Joy.
This is the first time I have been to Shyda's since they opened the close out and used gun room across from the store. There were some serious good prices to be had on everything from used guns to powder. I didn't record any except that they were selling 8 pound kegs of IMR Blue for $84!
In the store, I found the prices 30 to 40% cheaper for reloading components than Bass Pro.
Shot is $38 per 25 pounds. Powder by the pound runs $19 to $ 28.99. Bigger savings come with buying kegs. Black Powder is $22 a pound, CCI caps are $4.95 a tin.
Their .22 ammunition prices are way out of line. For a box of .22 shot shells they wanted $11 and for 50 .22 short, they wanted $10.50. ( I got them for $5 at Kinsey's)
Kinsey's is always a couple of dollars more for reloading components but the reason I stop there is that they have a great clearance/used table and good prices on their used guns.
There was a nice Winchester 9422 Delux going for $450 in the used rack.
As you can see, I did not put any new gun prices down as I rarely buy new anything.
If you go, be sure to stop at Good and Plenty in Smoketown for the smorgasbord. They have really good food.
