Small buck popped out at noon yesterday in front of my cam so the rut is on in Salisbury

I'm thinking (hoping) this spell of cold weather will get things busting loose. Saturday morning will tell us, one way or the other.
Had a young 6pt cruise threw at @7am. Never stopped, gave only stop and sniff at 45yards. Wind picked up and I froze my butt off. I under dressed.

Just a heads up. Waxing moon means another full moon coming soon. "Second rut" is approaching. It isn't a myth in most parts, especially if you have way more does than bucks. The does that didn't get bred first time around will generally come back into heat this time around.

The rut is on until the last immature doe is bred.. therefore the only “set time” to hunt the rut is until the very last day of the season....
