Looks like a clean Chinese SKS vetts1911.
You will want to pick up a bayonet to keep that cleaning rod from falling out ;) .

    Thank you.

I do need to find one but, I think that threads are rolled out. The year of import for it I think was 89 the bayonet was still legal. I may have to retap the threads and fins a bigger bayonet bolt.

looks good, you can get a good deal on a bayonet on Cheaperthandirt.com

Thanks I will hunt one down. I guess that is all I am missing. Every part on the rifle matches from the trigger to the stock. I was not going to shoot it but, my daughter loves it so gets some range time.

It could be that it was a Pinned bayonet. what is the arsenal number? O16? I have had two that had Pins not bolts that held the bayonet on.

Looks great! I didn't know that the Yugos were still making the SKS into the 80's! I learned something new today. Does anyone know when they ended production? I heard some reports that Zastava Arms still makes a civilian hunting variant.

i used this from survivor's sks board.

Here's a z-serialed yugo (1986), and yes, I know its in TAPCO, I bought it that way, it was a good deal. Someday it will go back to a yugo wood stock:
