TFB reporting that Ruger is releasing a new stryker-fired polymer framed 9mm and 45 handgun with 17+1 and 10+1 capacities respectively. It also has adjustable backstraps.

We'll have to wait and see for a price point.

Pretty sweet! Seems like a VP9-ish clone, but I'm definitely interested to see how it compares to the striker-fired market. Watching with interest. :)

I've always been a fan of single stacks. (looking at the mags)

Might be interested in the 45 model. Looks very clean!

Why is everyone chasing the carrot? How about coming out with something no one else has? What try to get into the Glock, M&P, XD game instead of something new and original?

Ruger coming out with a hammer fired pistol similar to their old P series firearms would be cool. Update them and make them fun to shoot and easy to carry.

I dunno. It looks like they had many a focus group with that design though.

Ergonomics appear good. Glock-style trigger. Chunky slide-release. Backstraps. Decent appearing sights. Good capacity.

    Could be a hit.

    P.S. I'd love a P89.

I had two P89's back in the day. Sold them for more than I paid for them around the time of the Clinton high cap gun mag ban. Kept my Glocks. ;)
    Pass.....
Agreed. Ruger is for revolvers.

I had one. Nothing to write home about unless you are into an old lack luster design and heavy weight.

I'm a nerd. The main character in my favorite Anime sometimes wielded one.

    I meant to say P85

I like the look but I don't and probably never will own many handguns. I have two Star Bs, my Sig 1911, the C&R Hi-Power, an SR22, and thats it I think. I prefer shooting rifles and can't carry so why bother? Plus I'm not getting that damn HQL.
