    If it is orginal it was first type of ak made somewhere between 1948 and mid 50's. Collector iteam mostly they were stamped 1mm thick extreamly heavy and tough.

    Dennis Todd had some old AK mags for around that price at the last Dulles gun show, they were very lightweight and stamped with a waffle pattern. He said they were early Russian but I've never seen any like them before.
    Some old magazines can definitely be rare and collectible.

    The slab side OP posted is the original Russian AK-47 issue magazine, back then the receiver was milled.

    The waffle mentioned above was aluminum and not widely issued by Russia.

    AKs offer a wealth of variety for mag collectors. The mags are more interesting than the guns, IMO.

    I've got a few OD waffles and tried forever to snag a star mag but 150 was to high for me

    If Dennis is selling them for that price, I'd say it's a fair price then. I wouldn't spend that kind of money on them, but others must be.

    If your looking for AK mag's might I suggest AK files makeret place. I have found great deals especially if your a collector of mags or parts kits. I have found some great deals on there not limted to ak stuff. PM sellers sometimes you can work out a deal on mag kits.
