selling a handgun

I am thinking about selling one of my handguns and want to double check the process before i do. When doing the transfer at a local FFL who holds the gun for the 7 days, me or the FFL? What do I have to do to sell the gun legally?

FFL holds the gun unless you use MSP then you hold the gun until the 8th day.

Buyer must have hql

c&r handguns are exempt from hql, but otherwise must go through the same process.

If you are transferring through an FFL, check with the FFL what their policy is.
