Seen a few out there but top of my budget.

    Ruger R92
    Henry Big boy 357
    Marlin 1894

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

I looked at 44's and decided the Henry was the best for the money. Thinking same applies for 357.
    Excellent finish and smoothest action.
Some don't like the loading tube vs gate. I don't really care.
    It is kinda heavy.

Were you looking at the Henry Big Boy by chance? Those rifles are indeed pretty hefty as they weigh 8.68 lbs.

Maybe check out the Henry Steel models also, if you haven’t already. More of a working gun look for sure, but if weight is a concern, those models weigh a much friendlier 7 lbs. in the rifle, and a bit less in the carbine.

I bought an 1873 from Taylor’s. By far the most fun you can have with a rifle. 38s shoot so soft. I thought you shouldn’t shoot too many high power 357 due to the weak 1873 action.

I have the Henry Big Boy in 357 magnum. Quality is amazing and customer service is even better. Not having a loading gate doesn’t bother me as I’m not looking to do any tactical sh*t with my lever action.

Marlin 1894 .357 JM if you can find one would be 1st.choice. Depending on your budget, the Rossi 92 is awesome for a very reasonable price.

The Henry has a great reputation and can be had at a reasonable price. They arevalso real a great looking rifle. But, I like the loading gate. It's worth it to me. Topping off or changing the next round to a different loading/bullet and such.
