    I use the Vltor A5 spring and buffer system on my SBRs. Besides helping with over/under gas issues it adds a little length to your overall measurement. I like 11.5 inch barrels, so length hasn't been an issue. But I might have to jump on this deal. Thanks for the info.

    Personally, until or unless some things change, I would NOT make an SBR shorter than 29" now, unless I have some way of showing that it existed in that configuration prior to Oct 1, 2013.

    *Assuming it is semi-auto or centerfire. As I understand it, a 7.5" .22lr AR-15 would be perfectly fine.
