I have a 9"x12" V Line Safe I want to secure. Was thinking of simply bolting it to the floor in the corner of a closet. It already has holes in the bottom. Thoughts?

I don't know what your closets look like but picturing mine there would be no way to find anything quickly much less reach it when needed. Is mounting it on a side wall at "light switch height" an option?

whats under the floor ? I ask because if you can get below it you could actually use nuts and washers as opposed to lag bolts. if you can do that it would take a back hoe to pull it up.

I have something mounted to the wall just above the baseboard and just inside the door.

Flashlight underneath it on the floor.

You can always drill extra holes in it and double the amount of bolts being used to secure it.

I did that with my pistol safe. I'm using lag bolts into the plywood flooring underneath the carpet, but you ain't pulling that box up out of the floor unless you work it with a pry bar for quite a bit.

If someone has that much time in your house, not much else is going to be sacred anyway.

You could always build a frame and secure it to that, then secure the frame to the wall. I thought about that for my wall safe until I found a good spot for it. The first handful of places I wanted all had power lines on the stud, or the studs were not far enough apart. My next plan was to take a shelf from my closet and put a 2x4 frame in, then put the safe in that.
