I saw this guide about 6 months ago but decided on a tuna trip instead. Anyone bowfish for cownose or Snakehead? I’m gonna grab 3 other guys and give this a try but wondering if anyone does it or has a decent guide service i should check out?

This dude is $500 for 5 hours all equipment included but he won’t clean the fish (which I’m fine with). Also anyone eat cownose nose or is it the sea duck of under the water? I love snakehead but know nothing about cownose.

Seemed like a nice guy and launched out of Cambridge which is nice cuz my family has a house in Madison which cuts down on cost. I think the captain said his name was mark, seemed cool.

Thanks for this!! I booked with him today for a snakehead trip. The video on the link you posted was awesome. Doesn’t hurt that he will drop outta Cambridge so food and lodging are free for me.
When do you plan to go? It seems like the snakeheads go dormant in cooler weather.

    End of April.

I got snakehead ponds down there i can go catch them right now lol but I’ve always wanted to go bow fishing but i don’t want to invest in the equipment, not that it’ll be super expensive i have most of what I’d need. Boat, beers, old bow

You mean each wing, right? They apparently eat a lot of oysters in the Bay. Oyster farmers actually fence off their 'gardens' with stout wire fences to keep them out.

Myself and a few friends bowfish 2-3 times a week. Actually starting up next week if the weather stays good. The next month they should turn on and will be some good fishing. We shoot plenty of fish out of the Potomac. But stay close to home and shoot rays around Point Lookout. If you can find someone to take you out and fish rays at night, do it! its a absolute blast! We get into schools of them that you just shoot into the water and hold on. They are hard on equipment tho!
