I've been dreaming about this gun since it was announced. Now it's in my hot little hands. I ordered it Wednesday and got it this evening. Everyone in the gun store was fangirling over it. After I paid the transfer fee I took it to the car and placed it in the trunk of my car. Then I walked back in to purchase some ammunition. So now I have a need for a new 3-gun holster. I'm hoping Red Hill can make one for me.

is that a blacked-out dvc 3 gun, super nice, congrats!! love my sti 2011's, sure you'll love yours.

i use a blade-tech wrs for 3 gun. with that hood, i know it ain't coming out unless i want it to. i think there are holsters with smoother releases but for the most part it hasn't held me back as i have time between dumping my last gun and getting to the next shooting position. i did hear they were going to stop making these, and not sure if they ever made one for the longer dvc 3 gun model.

When I called STI on Wednesday, they were out of the gold barreled version of the DVC 3-gun. I didn't know they had a black barreled version, but I like it better this way. The shop doesn't get that many high end firearms, so this was kind of a big deal for them. I picked this up on the way home, so no range time yet. I will be giving it a thorough cleaning and running it on Monday. Today, I'm shooting the Quantico Toys for Tots match with my Ruger PC9, then I'm going to the Beretta warehouse since they're having an Open House and sale today at Accoceek.

Went to the range for lunch, shot this back to back with my Shadow 2. The STI trigger is much better than the Shadow 2, the longer sight radius helps, and it's butter smooth. I'm still waffling on a holster, I may just order a Nerd Coffin. I need magazine holders and another belt. So far it's been awesome, need to get my Dillon going again.

After dithering too long, I just ordered a Nerd Coffin holster and another magazine for this today from STI. I will be taking a class with JJ Racaza on March 1st and 2nd, so I can't wait for Red Hill.

I worked with JJ. One of the nicest human beings on the planet.
